SCDF Fire Station
The development consists of the 7 storey Singapore Civil Defence Force 4th Divisional Headquarters and a 3 storey fire station with basement carparks.
Selective use of metal and glass with the signature red façade projects the building as a significant landmark in Bukit Batok.
The main atrium in the HQ block is naturally ventilated and allows generous daylight and visual connection with the verdant greens of its surrounding. A “source-less” waterfall gives depth to space and is designed with the existing topography for the enjoyment of users at all the levels overlooking into the atrium.
Smaller courtyards of similar nature are also interspersed around the building, creating the effect of a tropical paradise.
